Safed Khair

Description : Acacia ferruginea, commonly known as Rusty Acacia, is a deciduous tree found in the dry regions of South Asia. The tree is known for its rough, rusty-brown bark and feathery, bipinnate leaves. It produces small, yellow flowers arranged in spherical clusters and elongated seed pods.

Suitable Climate Condition : Acacia ferruginea thrives in warm, dry climates with temperatures between 20°C and 40°C (68°F to 104°F). It prefers well-drained, sandy or loamy soils and can tolerate poor and rocky soils. The tree is highly drought-tolerant and grows well in full sun. It benefits from occasional watering during prolonged dry periods.
