Ashwagandha

Description : Ashwagandha, scientifically known as Withania somnifera, is a perennial shrub belonging to the Solanaceae family. Native to India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa, Ashwagandha is valued for its medicinal properties and adaptogenic effects. The plant features small, bell-shaped flowers that give way to orange-red berries, along with ovate leaves and woody stems. Ashwagandha is characterized by its distinctive odor, described as “horse-like,” and is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine to promote vitality, enhance stamina, and support overall health and well-being.

Suitable Climate Condition : Well-draining, sandy or loamy soil with a pH level between 6.0 and 7.5 is ideal for Ashwagandha. Sandy loam or loamy soil enriched with organic matter promotes healthy root development and growth.
