Description : Ayamodakam, scientifically known as Trachyspermum ammi, is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the Apiaceae family. Native to the Eastern Mediterranean region and Western Asia, Ayamodakam is valued for its culinary and medicinal properties. The plant features finely divided, feathery leaves and small white flowers arranged in umbels. Ayamodakam seeds, also known as Ajwain seeds, have a pungent aroma and a strong, bitter taste reminiscent of thyme or oregano.

Suitable Climate Condition : Well-draining, fertile soil with a pH level between 6.0 and 7.5 is ideal for Ayamodakam. Loamy or sandy soil enriched with organic matter promotes healthy root development and growth.
