Palak powder- 50 grams

Dry chilies-5 grams

Sesame seeds-25 grams

Cumin seeds -5 grams

Garlic – 5 bulbs

Tamarind – 10 grams

Asafoetida- 1 gram

Amchur powder-5 grams

Salt- as required

Method of Preparation:

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat.
  2. Roast the sesame seeds until golden brown.
  3. Roast dry chilies separately
  4. Mix the palak powder, roasted chilies & sesame seeds, and remaining ingredients in the same pan
  5. Do the final toast for 1-2 minutes with little rice bran oil on low flame.
  6. Once the mixture is cooled, transfer it to a mixing jar and grind it into a fine powder
  7. Serve the spicy palak powder with rice, and breakfast items like dosa, idli, punugulu etc.
